Many people have told me about thicker yoga mats. Some say it feels better and easier to practice on I checked out my friend' mat and thought it was way too thick. Doing asanas on it would be difficult, I thought. Too soft. I borrowed a mat from the store, to take it on a test run, to see how it would feel over a week or so.

I picked up a neat little mat. It was pretty thick and had a nice ruffled surface.
My practice felt really different.
. I felt as if my feet were sinking.I definitely noticed more power and more control. Moving around the mat was more challenging. I kept getting stuck. It was weird and kinda of challenging. My body was overly in comfort after class. The extra cushioning worked well. I really liked practicing on this thick mat. After a week or two, I could not switch back.
